Hurricane Carol did a lot of damage in the New Bedford area to shipping, fishing, businesses and homes as well as the city's structures and roadways. Here you can see the video created by David Rasmussen of the effects of the storm as it was occurring and the after effects the next days. There were immense physical and financial damages to the area.
