This silent movie was made in New Bedford about the lives of the people in a small Quaker community and the adventures of a whaling ship.
The movie was filmed in New Bedford, and the world premiere was held here at the Olympia Theater on September 25th, 1922.
We are lucky to have a copy of the original booklet from the film.
Some of the actors and actresses stayed in the city at Audena Audette's rooming house during the filming.
She was the great grandmother of webmaster, Roger Chartier.
